“How do you make home painting products funny or engaging?” “Well, you could slap me across the face with bright colored paint….that’s one way. Kind Home Solutions is one of Denver’s premier home improvement companies that primarily focuses on interior/exterior home painting. When we first met, KHS were really traditional in their marketing efforts and doing well, but never really ventured much into the digital marketing world. After explaining a full strategy to them that was focused on the “fastest path to cash”, we decided to start with social media, specifically Facebook and Instagram.
Having never ran an ad with FB, we were starting from scratch without a pixel, so we developed a hyper targeted Facebook Avatar (ask us what that is) in order to not only hyper target from day one, but also populate the pixel with incredibly useful demographics for re-targeting and creating new audiences. The next step was creating content that was engaging…..or better said, what would make people stop within their feed to look at a painting ad. After looking through their assets for content, the idea slapped us in the face (pun intended).
PROCESS AND SUCCESS
The average click through rate (CTR) within Home Improvement is .70% and the average cost per click (CPC) is $2.93 (sourced from WordStream). With this short video ad, the VERY first ad and the VERY first weekend we launched, we saw an average CTR of 2.93% with a CPC of only $0.67. Our method is built around not just guessing, but seriously geeking out on targeting and testing…..and obviously we’ll do what we need to do to get those damn conversions!!
